• Successfully completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Competent in software development using C/C++ and Python
• Agile and flexible mindset with good problem solving skills
• Fluent in written and spoken english with strong communication skills. Good german language skills is a plus
• Fluent in English language (both written and spoken). German language is considered beneficial

We develop safe and sustainable autonomous systems based on our Lidar technology. You will take on the role of a software engineer (d/m/f) responsible for the detection of the ground surface. For the purpose of autonomous driving, the detection of the ground surface constitutes an essential processing step of the 3D point cloud. It enables the recognition of the road as well as the objects located on the road. Your job covers the whole development chain from concept creation over implementation to validation. You will be part of an agile team and provide substantial support for the series development of the IbeoNEXT Solid-State Lidar Sensor..

• Development of methods for quantitative evaluation of environment perception algorithms as well as for validation of those algorithms
• Software design, implementation, testing, documentation as well as planning and execution of software releases
• Formulation of requirement specifications (using requirement management tools) based on the needs and wishes of internal stakeholders and external customers
• Planning, prioritization and organization of tasks and work packages using agile methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
